Boyd Brothers Announces Partnership with Truckers Against Trafficking - April 20, 2016

Boyd Brothers Transportation, Inc., an Alabama flatbed truckload carrier that operates throughout the eastern two-thirds of the United States, has partnered with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) to fight human trafficking along America’s highways.

As part of that partnership, Boyd Brothers hosted TAT’s Freedom Drivers Project (FDP), a unique 48-foot mobile exhibit showing the realities of domestic sex trafficking and what the trucking industry is doing to stop it, at two of its locations. The FDP features five video monitors, artifacts from sex trafficking survivors with excerpts from their stories and narrative explaining ways the general public can work on human trafficking in the communities they intersect as well.

In addition to hosting the FDP, Boyd Brothers is training all their employees with TAT materials and looking for deeper ways to be involved with TAT. They are committed to combating sex trafficking and getting their local communities involved as well. As part of that commitment, they are inviting area CDL schools and other trucking companies to join them in partnering with TAT.

“We couldn’t be happier to have Boyd Brothers join us in the fight against human trafficking,” said Helen Van Dam, FDP director. “When a company is committed not only to what they personally can do but also to influencing other members of the trucking industry in becoming involved in the fight, we know their impact will be tremendous, and law enforcement will receive the benefit of hundreds more ‘eyes and ears’ along America’s highways when it comes to arresting perpetrators and recovering victims.”
